The various age-wise learning groups that the institution caters to and the classes that run for these learning groups are given below. Also given are the description of the courses, i.e. the subjects that are taught under them and the various papers that the subjects may be divided for the sake of teaching. A legend of the codes used for subjects & papers is to be found below. The periods allocated for each subject are different for each standard. Planning the period allocation is another crucial element of setting up of the learning environment.
Learning Groups
ICSE affiliation is proposed from the academic year 2009-10 | Study of the Learner's psychology teaches us that although the child is growing up every day, his mental, emotional & to some extent physical needs remain more or less the same for a span of about two years. Thus to simplify the process of teaching and to organize the learning environment effectively, we need to treat the students to adjacent standards in similar ways, train them in similar skills and judge them with similar criteria. Hence the learning groups are arranged accordingly. |
