A Designer is someone who helps others visualize a concept, not just in an aesthetic way, but also along with the technicality. He/she must be able to sketch or draw, as also understand the science or engineering aspects of the product being designed. An architect plans a building keeping the engineering requirements but also makes it look appealing. A fashion designer looks after the comfort of wearing a garment and not just the outward show. A car designer cannot afford to make the steering wheel look fancy, if it is unweildy to the driver. Designing is done in many areas - Industrial (products, furniture & interiors, etc), Communication (film, animation, exhibitions, etc) or Textile (garments & apparel). We test the student's aptitude towards designing by testing the common sense developed through general education & observation and finally the ability to express the design on paper within the given constraints. The topper will receive the Abhinav Star while the top 10 percentile get the certificate & prize. | Scroll below for details of various rounds In-Principle - (Std 8 To 12) 22 Dec, 09:00 AM Ends - 03 Jan, 05:00 PM Is the student aware of the principles of art and science that go behind everyday designs, say of furniture or dresses or rooms?
