Craftsman

A good craftsman can manipulate any material, whether wood or glass, paper or clay, into an object of use. The use may even be aesthetic. To achieve this he/she must be skilled in using his hands effectively. Also he/she must know a variety of techniques of moulding, cutting, pasting, etc. The student must have a sense of proportion and a good taste for colors and textures. Younger students can usually do a little collage work, i.e. sticking paper shapes into the appropriate outlines. Students from Std I onwards, learn a huge variety of craft either at home or at school and as a hobby they may master any of the types. Students (except G0) should bring their own material for the first round. The material should not be pre-cut or pasted or shaped. For later rounds everything needed will be provided.

G1  -  Make Something   (Std 1 To 4)

10 Aug, 09:45 AM to 01:30 PM
Students should plan a certain item and bring the required material along for making it in class. They will be given one and a half hour to make the item.

G2-1  -  Make Something   (Std 5 To 8)

08 Aug, 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM
Students should plan a certain item and bring the required material along for making it in class. They will be given one and a half hour to make the item.

G2-2  -  Get Creative   (Std 5 To 8)

11 Aug, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Students should make as many objects as they can in one and a half hour using only the material provided.

G3-1  -  Make Something   (Std 9 To 12)

08 Aug, 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM
Students should plan a certain item and bring the required material along for making it in class. They will be given one and a half hour to make the item.

G3-2  -  Make paper models from material provided   (Std 9 To 12)

11 Aug, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Student should make a paper model as shown in a picture, using only the kit / material provided.
