Painter

A Painter expresses his thoughts & emotions on a canvas and in doing so must have mastered the art of observing fine details of people, scenery, objects etc. and the techniques of showing these with color. Sometimes the painter may need to paint by memory, while sometimes he/she needs to accurately show some reality. Thus the subject of the painting may be completely abstract & unreal as also accurately real-life. Use of brush strokes, neatness, sense of color and color schemes, sense of proportion, etc need to be developed. The student must bring his/her own coloring & drawing material, while the paper will be provided. Students of G0 & G1 must use wax crayons or oil pastels, only.

G0-Sr  -  Color-It   (Std -1 To 0)

Paint a given picture with crayons or color-pencils, as neatly as possible, using appropriate colors.

G0-Jr  -  Color-It   (Std -1 To 0)

10 Aug, 11:30 PM to 12:30 PM
Paint a given picture with crayons or color-pencils, as neatly as possible, using appropriate colors.

G1  -  Paint the Scene   (Std 1 To 4)

10 Aug, 09:45 AM to 01:30 PM
Neatly paint the given scenary with appropriate colors, using wax crayons or oil pastels or color pencils.

G2-1  -  Complete-Then-Paint   (Std 5 To 8)

09 Aug, 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM
Complete the free hand drawing given and then paint neatly with appropriate colors. Students should use water colors; crayons or color pencils may be used to give effects.

G2-2  -  Draw From Memory   (Std 5 To 8)

10 Aug, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Draw a drawing based on the theme given on the spot. You are not required to paint it, however you may shade it using pencils for effect.

G3-1  -  Design A Campaign   (Std 9 To 12)

Design a poster campaigning for one of the issues given below and color the design appropriately. Also design a logo for the organization which is promoting the campaign.
1) Promoting use of public transport to save fuel
2) Marketing India's Light Combat Aircraft to foreign buyers
Students have to research the topic before the competition. The poster will be created on during the round. Students may use any type of colors or pens or pencils.

G3-2  -  Abstract Painting   (Std 9 To 12)

10 Aug, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Students are given an abstract topic on the spot and are to draw and paint based on it. Students may use any type of colors or pens or pencils.
