The Singer must be able to express his/her emotions through the vocal chords, i.e. the words many a times do not matter and musical notes or other sounds may be quite effective. A singer has to enthrall the audience with melody while also provoking the appropriate emotions in them. Voice modulation, correctness of notes, clear & loud pronunciation of words or sounds, etc. is needed. More credit will be given to a singer (G2 and above) who sings in different scales or chooses different styles of singing for different rounds. Background music often covers up the singers mistakes or may lead a untrained singer to sing on a different pitch or scale. Hence there should be no instrument played in the background. Language of the song is not important as long as the singer (for G0 the parent) is able to explain the meaning of the song to the judges before the performance. | Scroll below for details of various rounds G0-Sr - Action Song (Std -1 To 0) 11 Aug, 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM Sing a song with appropriate gestures and actions.
